Step back in time and experience the Texan’s fight for independence, the Republic of Texas and the State of Texas. The first shot fired in the Battle of Gonzales could be heard at the 1831 Log Cabin.
Tour the Historical Home and explore Old Town Texas. See the El Capote Ranch Treehouse.
YES, see a live hundreds of years old Oak Tree growing through the roof of the Ranch house.
Don’t miss our farm animals.
Marley, our donkey, loves carrots.
Talk with our costumed volunteer interpreters with deep Texas roots, they are available for first hand family experiences about our Texas history.
